kolalev is a good pressure fighter. but, truth is cleverly is not at his level and never was. he doesnt have the power or boxing skills to keep kovalev off of him
Fair play to Cleverly for taking the fight. Lets see if fighters like Ward who are accused of being protected come out and take a fight with Kovalev. I really don't see any top fighter agreeing to fight Kovalev.
it was like a man vs a boy once cleverly tasted the power in the first he froze a bit i think ,clev looked shocked at the end of the first round .
Kovalev reminded me of gerrald mcclellan ,he has that same style of punching through the target and the power was very real .
there seems to be a conveyer belt of heavy handed russians at the moment .
Kovalev is legit. I've been saying that since he knocked out Darnell Boone in their rematch.
Kovalev has everything. Very good chin, hard hitter, his technique is solid, and what I love most about him is that he throws a lot of punches.
Most guys w/ his ridiculous power would just look for one kill shot. Kovalev throws in volume, b/c he knows his power is so good that eventually you're going to get hurt, and when that happens he goes into kill mode and you're F*CKED.
i sure did.kovalev is an animal.his power and jab are great.i honestly thought clevely would win this going into the fight but i was wrong.i felt cleverly fought the wrong fight and allowed himself to taste kovalevs power too early on and paid for it
clevely seemed fine from the first knockdown but the second was to much for him.those punches to the back of the head when he was on the way down didn't help either but saying that he shouldn't have got himself in that situation in the firstplace.after that he was spent
I like Kovalev. B Hop better leave this one alone. He would look great vs Stevenson. I love the nuances of his game. If he can maintain his wotkrate...everyone is in ytrouble.
Clev got exposed. He was dominated.
I saw this coming as soon as the fight was announce. Bellew whooped Cleverly, Clev was a paper champ and tonight we saw why. Kovalev is a beast.
We now know he is the real deal, unbelievable power. I imagine after Nathan's demise Joe Calzaghe's phone will be ringing of the hook tommorow with one more multi million pound payday being offered to him against Kovalev.
