Floyd Sr made Floyd Jr, but Roger molded him into a complete fighter. It's kind of like PBF has his dads boxing technique and defense, while his offense mirrors his Uncle's (who was all offense).
Both deserve the credit for who Mayweather is now, but I'd definitely say Floyd Sr deserves more b/c he planted the roots and his style is what Little Floyds is mostly based on.
Floyd Jr. is the product of both his father, Floyd Sr. and uncle Roger. If we based it on the careers of both Floyd Sr. and Roger, the two taught Floyd how to avoid the mistakes and the pitfalls they committed when they were still fighting at top level. And I think both are successful given the highly successful philosophy style and approach of Floyd, Jr. in boxing since he turned pro.
Obviously, he didn't. Floyd Sr trained Jr since he was 2 till 16 when he, Sr, went to jail.
Sr is responsible first and Roger is next. I think Jeff deserves credit too. He also emulates Sugar Ray Leonard.
all i know is; floyd sr. is the one who planted the seed, and uncle rodge begun tending jr. when the sr. went to jail...both did a great job...its just that floyd picks his fights...dont know where he couldve learned that?
that's the craziest family ive ever seen
Was watching this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IbxEkx4sog and it got me thinking is Floyd Mayweather who he is today because of his uncle?
