Cotto can get away only with KO. Otherwise the judges will neglect him.

i saw the fight last night, of course i go for cotto because im puerto rican but there is a few factors to your question.

1. cottos coach is freddie, one of the best or the best coaching in the world of boxing.

2. cotto puts God before himself in any fight, which his spiritual life gives him strengthening.

3. cotto is younger than martinez

4. cotto is left handed

All this factors helped cotto to favor the fight.

1. martinez is older

2. he held up pretty good as in resistance because i thought he would not make it passed the fifth round.

3. martinez looked to arrogant and wanted so bad to kick cottos face that he put his pride before his actual talent which didnt favor him.

4. martinez brother is his personal coach so training may not be the best compared to freddy
