I had a friend punch a window at a party once, the glass cut through a vein in his forearm which spurted blood everywhere. Luckily for him his uncle who was attending the party was a surgeon and was able to control the bleeding and wrap up the wound so he could be taken to hospital immediately. The glass also tore through a muscle in his arm which took ages to heal and and the nerve damage meant that recovery time took ages, and he had to have expensive therapy done on his arm for several months after it happened.
If the cut was deep enough or if it took a long time to get treatment for it, I guess the results could me more severe and might lead to an arm being amputated.
Punch through glass > infected wound > infected bone > loss of limb.
You would have to be unlucky for all that to happen with modern medical attention.
No matter how slashed up your arm was it could be reattached with hours of microsurgery, costing lots of money and tying up expert surgeons.
Infected wound could also lead to all kinds of system failures, depending on your luck.
Don't punch windows.
Not only can you lose an arm but you can kill yourself if an artery is severed, it happened near here to a drug addicted lad who did it at a party and then bled to death on the floor whilst his friends stood around and watched.
In Hollywood they do it with Sugar Glass!
Depends on how thick the glass is
