Fact is this, when the fight was closest to being made (back in 2010), EVERYTHING was agreed to. The contracts just needed to be signed.
Then when Pacquiao found out about the random testing, during the final read over w/ his people, he said no I won't do that and made a bunch of excuses (despite already agreeing to it during the negotiations).
Now he's finally taking the random testing? So what's changed exactly? Pacquiao had all these excuses as to why he wouldn't do the random blood testing, but now all of sudden he's okay with it?
Why couldn't he have been fine with it four years ago, when his refusing of the whole process ruined the closest we've ever been to seeing him fight Mayweather?
I'm glad that he's doing the testing for the Rios fight, b/c finally instead of just telling people he'll do it (yet never doing), he's proving to everyone he will take the testing.
BQ: If Manny is still himself, he'll MURDER Rios. Rios is moving up in weight and his power won't translate. He has no defense, is a punching bag and will get torn up in this fight.
It'll be like Pac's fight w/ Margarito all over again, except Rios isn't nearly as big as Margarito and sure as hell isn't as durable, since Margarito had an ATG chin.
Pac will stop him, unless he's drastically faded, which I don't think he is.
1):2009.. floyd demanded OSDT w/ 14 days cutoff...1st time for pac & doesnt know anythin about OSDT, what do you expect, say yes to somethin he had no idea about?
2) took time but pac did agreed to 14 days cut off, floyd got no right to change demands and yet still insisted to change from 14 days cut off OSDT to random blood testing....
3) 2010..second negotiations came, w/c when the contract was signed by pac he refused to sign claiming no negotiations ever happened...yet HBO's CEO attested there's indeed a negotiation happened between TR, GBP and mayweather promotions
4) may 2010, he took another 1 1/2 years off boxing
5) sept 2011 he came back and sucker punch ortiz...after pac agreed to full random OSDT floyd phoned pac for the may 4, 2012 fight w/ an offer of $40M but no ppv shares...pac countered and offered him $50M guaranteed + 45/55 split to all revenues... he fought cotto instead (and wtf??? he gave cotto ppv shares)
6) rumors came out his A blood samples tested positive on both mosley and cotto fights
7) june 2012 he went to prison... another 1 year off from boxing ei...aaaaagain...
8) floyd came out after 3 months while pac's promoting his 4th bout against jmm and announced he's agreeing to floyd's OSDT and the smaller purse and that floyd told him over the phone of being scared of losing.... elerbe replied nobody dictates the fight but floyd... while floyd blames arum for blocking the way why the megafight will never happen...
9) dec 2012, pac got beat by jmm...bye bye HBO, floyd signed w/ showtime...making the megafight more impossible to happen or probably never.....and fought a class-C fighter named guerrero last may 4, 2013
Nice try. But this is what happened
1. Floyd asked for Random drug(blood) testing. Pacquiao REFUSED
2. Floyd willing to compromise so he made it a no later than 3 days before the fight. Pac REFUSED
3. Floyd fights another opponent and after the match declares all his other opponent would be subject to Random drug testing. Immediately afterwards, Pacquiao announces to media that he's willing to go for the 3 day window period.
4. After some pressure to Pacquiao, he announces that he agress to all of Floyd's demand pertaining to drug testing, then Michael Konz confirmed it on an interview that Pac was willing to give unlimited urine test but STILL INSISITS on the 3 day window period for random BLOOD testing.

PacMan was willing to do testing. He agreed in negotiations with Floyd.
BQ: Does Rios have a chance against Manny? I don't get all these people saying "they say Floyd cherry picks!" but Pacquiao just got KTFO! He needs a tune up to get his confidence back. I think Rios has a chance if he can get Manny to stand and trade with him.
