No, I don't think that they will count that as a negative. It may even help you as long as you use the ring and not get caught on the ropes too much.
Move to the opposite of your opponent's power punch hand. To the side. Stick and move . Not back up squared. Always to the side. Bob and weave jab , stick and move. Then throw your power punches.
Uh! no i don't think they're gonna see it negative way cuz defence is very important factor in boxing.Defence is a major SKILL required in Boxing.Without defence boxing is no talent just Brutality and violence.Boxing is a art of hitting without getting hit.The Judges cannot Forget that and never will.If you will land clear shots on him no matter how weak or strong they will give you point. So don't worry about it be cool and prepare for your match and Best Of Luck!!!!!
Better have good footwork, good reflex's, and if needed a little durability. But it could also depend on your opponent too as to whether that one style of yours will work or not. If he ain't that good at attacking or going forward, then it's your fight. But if he could only fight going forward then you can't run too much but clinche or uppercut and make his strength unsuccessful until he softens up on it.
Ok so I'm going to have my first ameture boxing fight in 5 days. But the thing is that I have a very defensive Fighting style. So when I fight I only like to trow in small combos most of the time. Like jab jab or jab cross , jab jab cross or just jab but since I also don't like To get hit a lot I kinda developed this lil tick in were I hit and after I hit I immediately back away and since I'm always moving I'm kinda hard to hit And I'm also kinda head to get a clean shot on so I was also wondering if based on my fighting style I'm ussually the one landing the cleaner ,harder shots but would it be possible that based on my fighting style the judges could give me the loss cause I was being to defensive
