Raging Bull (Robert DeNiros greatest performance, more a movie about forgiveness than boxing itself)
On The Waterfront (Marlon Brando plays brilliantly a former boxer, a great film about moral courage)
The Hurricane (sad film for whom Denzel Washington learned to box)
Million Dollar Baby (Clint Eastwoods sad masterpiece about a female boxer, played by Hilary Swank)
Undisputed (Wesley Snipes vs Ving Rhames in a prison boxing match)
Cinderella Man (Russell Crowe plays great Jim J. Braddock, biography movie)
The Fighter (Christian Bale plays great a boxing trainer and earned an Oscar for his performance in 2010)
The Boxer (Daniel Day-Lewis learned real how to box for this film. Most underrated boxing film ever)
Gentleman Jim (Pirate and Robin Hood actor Errol Flynn plays the great heavyweight James J. Corbett)
When We Were Kings(documentary about the "Rumble in the jungle")
Requiem For a Heavyweight (Anthony Quinn as boxer, with special appearance by Jack Dempsey and Muhammad Ali)
The Great White Hope (film about the fight between Jess Willard and Jack Johnson, with James Earl Jones as Jack Johnson, very underrated performance and underrated film about racism)
Ali (Will Smith played Muhammad Ali in this movie, probably his greatest performance ever)
Rocky Marciano (TV movie about Rocky Marciano, with Jon Favreau playing "The Rock" in a good and inspiring performance)
Tough Enough (80's movie with Dennis Quaid playing a boxer and the last performance of Warren Oates in a movie, as Quaids trainer)
My favorite boxing movies besides Rocky series...
Raging Bull (really good movie)
Cinderella Man (good movie)
Million Dollar Baby (sad but good movie)
Ali (pretty good movie)
Gladiator (funny but good movie)
The Super Fight (cool movie of Ali vs Rocky)
Rocky
Streets of Gold 1986 is one of my favorites. It starred a young Wesley Snipes, Adrian Pasdar and Klaus Maria Brandeur. This is a classic. It focuses on Amateur boxing, some scenes are shot right out of Gleasons Gym and Emile Griffith and Edwin Viruet are in the background.
