B) Berto*
C) Rios
* I asked a similar question yesterday and put Broner, I meant Berto.
A- similar to Maidana but smaller.
Broner has to build himself back up. He didn't look good in his last fight, and if he were to take on the wrong opponent next, and get beat, it would be a disaster for him.
I'd still pick Rios as the best opponent for Broner. Matthysse is too dangerous at this moment in time, Broner would beat Berto but I don't think he'd gain as much ground as he would with a win over Rios.
I don't think Broner should be toying around at 147. I don't think he carries the weight well at all. I understand the desire to fight in the money division but he should come prepared or at least bring something to the table. The comparisons to Mayweather (which I still don't see) aren't enough to make waves at 147.
.
If he puts his mind to it, Broner can do well at 140, as long as he avoids Danny Garcia. I think he can win two titles there, defend for a while and move to 147 when Floyd and Manny are gone. The comparisons to Floyd are baseless and foolish but if he indeed does remind people of Floyd, that could be his selling power as people will surely miss Floyd when he's gone. That's as close as it gets for Broner. I don't see any comparisons in the ring at all.
.
When it comes to comparisons to Mayweather, Broner doesn't look any better than Berto did in his miserable but failed attempt to "borrow" Mayweather's style, while having the daylights beaten out of him by -of all people- Victor Ortiz, the closest thing to a coward in the sport (I hate to label a pro-boxer as such but I Struggle to have even the smallest amount of respect for Oritz. I hope we've seen the last of him).
.
If Broner insists on fighting at 147, I think a fight with Matthyse would be the more challenging. I don't think Berto's heart is in the game anymore. I think he only fights because he has to. He hasn't been the same in a good while. If he carries 147 even marginally well, Broner should be able to beat Rios rather easily. Rios is a light hitting, poor man's Maidana. If Broner can't beat him, he should Never consider moving to 147.
If Broner really want to test himself, he should fight Andre Berto and this is the fight I would like to see. Berto's rugged style will test how far that copied defense goes which they both used. I can sense that he won't fight Berto because this fighter can really give him a lot of trouble that would derail his comeback. I even doubt if Maidana can easily beat Berto rthat would warrant a fight with Floyd and Marcos put Broner where he belong.
Matthyse hands down. My fearless forecast if Matthyse vs Broner pushes through; KO win for the Argentinian after Luke catches Broner big time
Matthysse
Matthysse because even though he's the toughest on the list i'm confident Broner would beat him quite comfortably.
Out of those 3, i'll guesse that Broner would pick Rios 1, and then Berto 2, and Guerrero 3 and then matthysse 4.
Like i said yesterday, Broner is quite ticklish of most right now.
