interesting question it would of been early in his career in the 1970s but i was too young to have seen hagler fight then sadly i seen hagler towards the end of his career first fight i seen was hagler vs duran
I think you gotta give it to BB. The Worm won a UD by a wide margin. I just vaguely remember Hagler giving Willie is dues. He might of said it after the Boogaloo Watts fight, but that was a close fight.

In the 5th, Monroe came out with three consecutive uppercuts and Hagler lost his mouthpiece and his nose started to bleed profusely. Hagler always said Eugene Hart was the hardest puncher he had ever faced, high praise considering some of the opponents Marvin has on his resume, but I never heard Hagler admit defeat to anyone, I am curious as to whom you are referring.
