David Haye would make a lot of sense both for career progression and business. With Haye you have a top named, ranked heavyweight who struggles with big tall heavyweights, he struggled with the giant Valuev and ran from Wladimir, he has not been knocked out since cruiserweight a knock out win would be huge for Wilder who would also get some rounds in and put a big name on his resume. And if at 29-0 he is not ready for Haye then he will never be ready and we can stop wasting any time on him. Secondly from a business stand point Haye unlike other heavyweights will sell this fight with his mouth, its Britan vs the US which makes for big PPV dollars on its own and with Hayes mouth could be a nice little windfall for Wilder even if he did lose.
With Mitchell vs Arreola the only way Arreola loses this fight is if Al Haymen lined his pockets so it would either be a fight against a twice knocked out, hype machine in Mitchelle or Arreola another American who may be to big risk for to little reward for Wilder at this point and wouldn't bring in the money Haye would.
However Haye is fighting Fury so if Furry wins it wouldn't mean much for Wilder to beat him, but if not he could fight Fury.
TThe winner of Haye vs Furry In my opinion Wilder beats either of these two and they have the most name recognition of any guys out there.
Deontay Wilder needs to fight a tough veteran that knows how to survive 12 rounds such as James Toney ,Dominick Guinn or Alonzo Butler. The fight with Derek Chisora is his most likely next fight in my opinion.
The winner between Seth Mitchell and Chris Arreola will probably get to fight the winner of Wladimir Klitscho and Alexander Povetkin.
After last night I was thinking the exact same thing and to be honest I wouldn't match him with someone like Mitchell or Arreola. The biggest question mark I have as it relates to Wilder is "can he actually go rounds"...when your knocking fights out so fast It's really hard to develop.
Before we see him versus someone like Mitchell or Arreola I think his handlers should get him someone who can give him rounds because a 100% KO percentage says he's either too good or they're not testing him.
helenius has a slightly better resume wilder and would be a good test and a nice little step up.they'r both tall men so it would be interesting.can't see it though cus helenius is too protected.
chisora will be looking to move foreward not backward.not saying it wouldn't be a competitive fight but chisora is coming off hiss w over scott and will be looking to pursue a klitschko shot
other than that there is alot of domestic opponents for wilder.it won't be thompson cus he has his hands full wiv pulev.i would say scott but he wouldn't receive as much credit for beaten a fighter coming off a loss.arreola would be a great opponent.
Fellow undefeated American heavyweight prospect Bryant Jennings or Robert Helenius who were the last two fighters to beat Liakovich before Wilder did.
Fight versus any of those two would serve as a world title eliminator.
i'd like to see wilder fight del boy chisora i think it's a natural fight with the rock jawed chisora taking wilder a few rounds . wilder does have power and speed but we need to see him in with someone that won't crumble straight away .
it's a shame there isn't many good solid fringe fighters like james tillis was ,just short of the best but better than the guys wilder has been fighting
Someone who's actually a worthy boxer
No more soft touches. He needs to fight guys who've never been stopped also has never been down and will pressure him.
Mitchell/ Arreola winner or someone else?
