It was amazing that a guy with little over 10 professional fights completely out boxed one of the top 10 pound for pound boxers in the world. I've never been impressed with Donaire.
Only thing I saw in the Alvarez vs. Trout fight was Alvarez' head movement. He should definitely keep working on that because it could make him a force to be reckoned with. A guy who comes froward with a lot of power who fights smart and is hard to hit. Deadly combination.
Mayweather vs. Guerrero wasn't the best fight in the world because of Guerrero. It just showed me that Mayweather still has something left. He can still box, still move, and he was boxing better than in his recent fights.
My list reads like this:
1. Rigondeaux/ Donaire
2. Hopkins/Cloud
3. Alvarez/Trout
Thumbs up to Davd and jh26 I agree that Rigondeaux with so few pro fights pulled off quite possibly the upset of the year and I also agree that each time Hopkins defies father time, the accomplishment grows proportionally.
Mine:
Alvarez vs Trout
Rigondeaux vs Donaire
Froch vs Kessler II(rematch)
I also have numbers one and three, but I'd also put Hopkins/Cloud up there. Even if Hopkins' style is frustrating to watch sometimes, seeing him defy Father Time by schooling these youngsters is only getting more remarkable each bout.
i'm going with excitement

Mine: 1) Rigondeaux/ Donaire, 2) Alvarez/ Trout, 3) Mayweather Guererro
