If it's to do with his punishment then no.the little punk should take his punishment like a man after all he has thousands of kids looking up to him
Chavez is an idiot for smoking up before a fight when he knows that it is a banned substance, but the penalty the WBC is slapping him with is absolutely absurd. It's marijuana. Weed. Pot. A ******* plant that mellows people out. Deeeefinitely not something that's advantageous in a fight in any way at all. Not like he was using PEDs or loading his gloves. If anything marijuana would HURT a performance rather than help. Fining him $900,000??? When I first read it I thought it was a joke.
Hell, Fernando Vargas got caught red handed using STEROIDS and the WBC only fined him $100,000!! And somehow marijuana brings about a charge worth nearly 1 million dollars??? Wtf? Julio is a jackass no question, but the WBC is just plain ******* ridiculous. How on earth could they justify that??
I think Chavez is totally within his rights to be outraged, and I'm not the least bit surprised he's suing them. He should DEFINITELY still be fined for breaking a well known rule, but the punishment needs to fit the crime. What the WBC is doing is like giving a first time shoplifter 5 years in prison. Outrageous.
Julio Caesar Chavez jr has a right to be upset, but at the same time, he should not be using Lasix or Marijuana prior to his fights. He should know that, he has been a professional boxer, for quite a few years. If you are injured or sick, postpone the bout and reschedule it. having a famous last name does not mean that you can ignore the rules and regulations. Julio Caesar Chavez sr had a lengthy career and was a great champion, but he always abided by the rules. If you want to be a party animal and get high, you should not be in the sport of boxing. If he cleans up his act and rededicates himself, he could possibly again contend for the World Middleweight title in the future. But suing the WBC for enforcing their mandated rules is childish. Like athletes today in other sports, who do not accept the wrong they do, and blame others. If you do wrong, then you did wrong, correct it and man up.
I think its good, he smoked weed??!?! If anything it would have hindered him, you can obviously see from 24/7 that the weed makes him lazy, I hate to say Lazy because thats not actually true, you have the energy and can do anything you normally do, you just dont give a ****.
But seriously 900'000 dollars for weed? You got to be ******* kidding me, this makes me like the kids more, the United States Government and its obsession over pot borders on lunacy and is laughable by every other country in the world... except maybe China. I hope he sues and wins then he can retire and smoke all the weed he wants.
Im not making an excuses for Chavez I think he is a lazy fighter and only got to where he is because of his daddy, and he should be fined, but really? weed will not help you box in anyway and will only hinder you.
I think the fine was to much but I really don't care what happens to this joker. Have you noticed all the problems out side of the ring that are happening now . These are not isolated cases any more it is the whole collective. There is a real problem in our sport someone needs to give it structure. You see all the new ( sharks) promoters coming into the game that means there is (BLOOD) money in it. I am telling you Sean G this is getting real ugly and the fighters are trying to protect them selves against these people who are taking there money and putting them in some really uncomfortable positions I am glad I am not fighting now because I could not concentrate under these conditions and neither can most of these fighters.
Hell yeah they got him 4 too much paypa 900,000 out of 3 mil that was too steep.
I'm Chavez Jr. How dare you expect ME to follow the rules!!! Do YOU KNOW WHO I AM!!!?????
he must be high or something
Do you agree with this move?
