what do you call it when you comfront someone of the wrongs he’s doing today then talks a lot about the good things he did in the past?
Mayweather is a great fighter one of the best this generation has seen. The thing that kills his rep is the fight with Pacquiao that never happened. Think about it regardless of how the first fight would of went there would of been a rematch.
This could of been the trilogy boxing needed to stay in the limelight. He is always gonna have that question hanging over his head why he did not fight Pacquiao. Floyd is not the only one to blame here its on Arum to however to those casual boxing fans who only come around for the Pac and floyd fights they are not gonna see him near as great as the people who follow boxing all year round.
Both guys were in their prime when everyone wanted to fight them they were just to ignorant to work things out. Could of been two possibly three of boxing's best fights, up there with Gatti-Ward Ali-Frazier but it did not come to be. It would of cemented both guys Legacy in the top 10 best boxers for sure if it would of went down. At the end of the day however Floyd still has his undefeated Record pacquiao still has the 8 world titles in different divisions.
Truth us, 3/5 of Mayweather's haters are Pacquiao fans. If we take them out the equation, all these riduculous accusations of cherry picking and need to challenge a middleweight to prove his greatness would be nowhere to be found. Its as simple as that. Hopefully, if the match happens and IF Mayweather dominates Pacquiao, people will show him his respect.
Of course, there are still those who will say he Manny was over the hill but Mayweather is 3 years his elder. And is the 4th oldest reigning champion at the moment. In 20 years time, youll be hearing, nobody could touch this dude, he was invincible and one the best ever from everyone :)

I 100% agree with this and laugh at any one that states Floyd has cherry picked his way to the top.
BOXING-fans, students of the sweet science know that Mayweather is a great. It's just your casual Pacquiao fans that don't know he is a great fighter as they don't know Boxing.
