2. It's the nature of the business.
3. That's how it's always been, guys with the backing get to dictate the terms. Pacquiao is the superstar and Bradley is just the belt holder...
The guys talk a lot about legacy and all that but the bottom line is they are in the game to get paid. 6 Mil is a lot for a guy like Timmy, not a figure to scoff at and I doubt he would have been given a better opportunity elsewhere. Bob knows it and he makes the most out of it.
The good: Pacquiao and Bradley will be a good fight and i think Pacquiao will win by landing the majority of the clean effective punches like he did the first time.
The bad: wouldn't say it's so much wrong that Bradley had to sign for an extension but to give Bob Arum credit ,he's a powerful promoter and can make fights happen.
The ugly: Since Tim Bradley extended his contract it could be ugly if he is yearning to fight Floyd Mayweather anytime in the near future.
Its the most logical fight, a win for one over the other would secure a #2 P4P over Ward.
I kinda agree that its messed up to fore Bradley to an extension but thats always Bob Arum's way of doing business
Dont agree with the ugly, in boxing the A side always gets more money than the title holder just like Floyd - Ortiz. PAC is the draw and 6 mil is a career high for Bradley. Other than Canelo or Cotto, thats the highest a B side made for a fight against either Floyd or Pac. Canelo and Cotto are much bigger stars than Bradley
Bradley-Pacquiao 2 is a natural. All the elements are there: Bradley has Manny's WBO belt and has to prove that he deserves wearing it continuously around his waist or across his shoulder. Manny on the other hand has to beat Bradley to re-take his last official title and boost his chance for a lucrative fight versus Floyd Mayweather.
Bradley may have no clear immediate choice. I don't know how many months are there left in his existing contract with Top Rank but if he does not sign an extension, he will not only lose the Pacquiao fight deal but may have to sit out the remainder of his contract as its almost a given Arum will "freeze" him as Arum did to Yuri Gamboa and Guillermo Rigondeaux when the two displeased him. Bradley could risk that for the opportunity to jump over to GBP and the opportunity to fight Floyd Mayweather with his WBO belt at stake in a unification at welterweight. Alas!
In line with Top Rank's continuing game of one-up-man-ship with GBP, Manny pacquiao being Arum's main ward and cash cow has to continue receiving his usual eight figures but Bradley also deserves to get more than 6 million to think he also deserves a sizable signing bonus given his credentials.
Bradley could not jump ship or go solo without legal risk and/or punitive sanctions from Arum.
That's how cruelly shrewd Arum is.
The Good) Very good fight between two of the best in the division who have unfinished business
The Bad) Tim Bradley is big enough to make his own decisions, nobody is "making" him do anything.
The Ugly) To use one of your favourite words, what you are saying here is "illogical". Pacquiao is the big name draw, he has the global fan base, so he is going to get more money. Bradley brings an alphabet title to the table, and maybe some of his family will but ticket to see him fight, but you expect him to get more than Pacquaio?
1) Pac & Bradley is a good fight for both boxers. Pac to maybe get 'justice', and Bradley to prove he can beat Pac a second time..
2) Bradley signed an extension with Top rank to make money - period.
3) Pac is the showcase name.. Bradley still makes six large, with further riches in store if he beats Pac outright. without Pac, how would he make six million fighting someone else..?
Mayweather vs Bradley is the fight I want to see.
I think Bradley will beat Pacquiao, and hopefully he can short some sh!t out with his promoters and get a Bradley fight (unlikely, but I still want to see it regardless).
1) Yes it is Pac wants to try and avenge himself
2) yes its wrong, arum needs bradley more than bradley needs him
3)How is that ugly? Mayweather a challenger to ortiz got more, cotto a challenger to martinez will get more and pacs the bigger draw so there's your answer.
Bradley definitely could've went to Goldenboy because that's where everyone wants to be lol I would, wouldn't you.
1. i always dont like the fight, im convinced that pac needs to avenge himself.
2. Arum is businessman, he will always do what it takes to secure his future. And i think bradley is his future.
3.Ugly? your understanding about boxing is more black than your color sean g....
Pac is a draw, people will watch the fight because of pac. So its only obvious that pac will get bigger share...Nobody wants to watch bradley fight? do you? ah because he is black...Right? just like you always said you are rooting for black boxers because your black...cut that crap man...
The good: Is Pacquiao/ Bradley II a good fight? A fight you want?
The Bad: Is it wrong that Bradley had to sign an extension with Top Rank to get this money fight?
The ugly: Pacquiao is getting 20 million, while Bradley, the champion, is getting 6 million and had to sign with Top Rank...Damn, Bob, no Vaseline...! Should Bradley have jumped to Golden Boy? Gone solo?
