Boxing: Is the Mayweather/ Alvarez undercard official?

Garcia/ Matthysse? Lara/ Trout?

Hi Sean, nice to see you!

I sure hope that the undercard is official! Danny Garcia against Lucas Matthysse, two of the best at 140, is sure to be a war. Plus Erislandy Lara against Austin Trout will be a very good fight also. Lara coming off a huge win over Angulo, while Trout coming off a loss from the man in the main event, Alvarez. Then the main event, of course Mayweather against Alvarez, two undefeated fighters, who will receive their first loss? This will be a crazy great night for boxing fans if this dream comes true!

Most undercards suck, especially when two big named guys are heading it.

It's always horrible, but if this got made it'd be the best undercard I've seen BY FAR.

Boxrec jumps the gun on everything. They're actually right a lot of the time, but it's unreliable and they shouldn't post fights are going down, when in reality nothing is official and sides are just talking.

I didnt' think Matthysse vs Garcia would ever get put on this card, b/c both those dudes are gonna need big purses in general, and the whole reason undercards usually suck is b/c GB and Showtime are going to have to pay a ridiculous amount to Floyd/Canelo alone.

Richard Schaefer says this fight may happen on the undercard though, and I believe him.

Lara vs Trout is also a great fight, two of the best boxers AND southpaws at 154lb. That fight would be cheap enough IMO, and also Trout is with Al Haymon, which never hurts.

I think Garcia and Mathysse is official. Gracias boy is saying it is and so is other boxing news media on the web. But Lara and trout I'm not sure. I just heard Lara wants to fight Trout. Idk if it'll be on the undercard. But Mathysse and Garcia is official. It's even on the wiki page of Floyd Mayweather vs Saul Alvarez wiki.

that would be a special night for boxing but these excellent undercards tend to fall through alot of the time

not long back we saw it with the brook/alexander when it flopped to happen on the matysse/peterson card

Man I hope so, but Schaefer/Oscar/GBP haven't made an official announcement yet. I have seen both fights up on boxrec.com, take that for what its worth i guess.

I'm not sure but they need to add Broner vs Mosley and Judah vs Peterson on the card.

I hope so. That would be a monster PPV.
