I'm not going to watch this fight because it's a huge mismatch.
Pacquiao should have fought Marquez but he decided to fight Algeiri. He took the easier fight and it might be a flop. I will save my money for Mayweather-Maidana because it will be more compeitive.
That is a much better fight than Pacquiao-Algeri. They should be lucky if it sell 300k because no one is interested;.

I am undecided if I will buy the fight but to say who got more credibility in terms of excitement on both fights, Floyd/Maidana or Pacquiao/Algeiri. I would be lying if I said it's Floyd vs Maidana. Manny Pacquiao beat Floyd to the punch in fighting Algeiri. This fighter have all the credentials that fits Floyd's taste. He just came off from a big win against Provonikov and that is the opponent Mayweather was looking for. Guerrero beat Berto and so does Ortiz and Maidana who was now given a rematch, beat Adrien Broner, If not Manny Pacquiao for Algieri, it would be Floyd Mayweather Jr. Are you going to say boycott if it is?
I doubt if this match up will hit 500,000 PPV not only because of Algieri who can still be consider as unknown but more likely it is in Macau, China. The first time Manny fought in Macau against Brandon Rios, it didn't met the revenue they expected but you can only blame the venue and it's unfamiliarity to the sport. Bob Arum will be the one who will suffer and not the fighter.
If you expect Floyd vs. Marcos will do any better than the first time, you got to be kidding. The first bout wasn't accepted, what in this world we can expect the rematch will. Except for a very few minutes of excitement because of Marcos rough housing style, it is in no way an interesting fight. I am sure people doesn't want to pay or buy the PPV for just a very little competition.

Its not a good fight for Pacquiao. Alegri hasn't fought very good opposition apart from Provodnikov, where he got a highly questionable decision.
Pacquiao is just going after the belt holder, a fellow world champion. If Provodnikov had won, he'd be fighting him. Floyd has fought average boxers in order to get their belt or fight a fellow world champion before now. Its something that has to be done once in a while to set them up for bigger things.
Agree. I think even Pac's Filipino fans have grown tired and weary of the Pacman show. We all know him as a world-class fighter, but he's been picking on nobodies just to earn his millions. His focus is on basketball, specifically his new job as a professional basketball playing-coach. He's not even paying attention on his other duty as a congressman.
