Nobody cares about that guy b/c he's the size of a child, but he's the best fighter at junior-flyweight/flyweight, an extremely exciting/hard hitting guy, and for such a little guy beat the living sh*t out of people.
Garcia at least gets TV time and acknowledgment. El Chocolatito gets none of these things, so he's the most underrated simply b/c nobody knows about him.
Yes. I think he really is. Matthysse won't walk through him, like most people think. Two tough guys will feel each other out first. I'm sure Matthysse is worried about Garcia, more than any recent opponent. Garcia has scary looping shots and he has some underrated boxing skills. If Matthysse can't stop Garcia's counters, with his own counters, Garcia might actually have counter-punching advantage. I think Matthysse has the edge in overall power, but Garcia has the edge in unorthodox punching power.
Style will make the Matthysse fight interesting because Garcia is underrated as a champion. Most people are picking Mattysse to win easily I've read, but Garcia has a chance to stun the world.
Among the underrated champions but not the most. I agree that there are other champions more underrated than him like Chris John ( for Pete's sakes, he's been champion for as far as one can remember !), Roman Gonzales, Ricky Burns, Shinsuke Yamanaka ( because of the more popular and high-profile Kameda brothers at bantamweight ), Akira Yaegasi, Takashi Uchiyama and Krystof W?odarczyk ( with a tongue-twister of a name like that, who would bother about him albeit his great record?)
But ranged against other champions in the 140 lbs. class especially Lucas Matthysse and even Juan Manuel Marquez, Danny Swift is indeed most underrated champion.
Angel Garcia is a character and anything is likely to come out his mouth but nevertheless there is some truth it ,like Angel said ,Garcia was supposed to lose to Amir Khan and he knocked Khan out so there is some truth to Danny Garcia being underrated.
I think there are more then just a few names in boxing today, that don't get the attention they should be getting. Danny is one of them and the biggest one of them all will be whooping him come September 14 a man named lucas matthysse
He is very underrated, but the most underrated champ right now is Probably Cleverly at LH.
