Boxing: If Floyd fight Maidana, does that hurt Broner?

Yep and who cares. Broner was gonna lose again anyway. Meantime he could face Guerrero, Ortiz, Collazo, or Thurman. Oh wait he don't wanna.

Only because Broner won't have a chance to regain his championship and get paid but that's where it hurting Broner ends.

If Floyd dominates Maidana it won't make Broner look worse because only those people that believed the hype ever spoke of Broner and Mayweather in the same sentence. Anyone that knows anything about boxing knows there's a gulf in class between the two and simply expect Mayweather to get the job done relatively easily. This has no effect on Broner whatsoever, Broner isn't the P4P king, it's OK that he lost, it won't be OK if Mayweather lost to Maidana though

The Maidana fight makes more sense and is more prestigious for Floyd than the Khan fight because Maidana holds a major title (WBA) that can be staked in a unification

I don't see how Broner will be hurt by this since he most likely will be given a set aside fee and a possible slot in the undercard against another top GBP fighter, possibly Keith Thurman in an eliminator for a crack at the winner of the Floyd-Maidana fight.

Yes. The quickest way for Broner to get back to where he was, is obviously to immediately avenge his loss. Anyone beating Maidana, before Broner would mentally, and financially hurt Broner. Financially more then anything. This is the same reason Maidana won't fight Mayweather next. Yes Maidana is way more of a challenge he won 4 in a row, was never finished in his career, this is compared to Khan's 2-2, in his last 4 , and including a 4th TKO loss to Garcia, but he never avenged his loss to Khan.

lol,,,actually Maidana hurt Broner more fighting Broner than anything else. I want to see Floyd fight the winner of the Bradley/Pacquiao match, any other fight is a cash grab, although Khan and Maidana are decent, neither is really in Floyd's league and both would be serious underdogs. Bradley would give Floyd trouble, and the Pacquiao fight while tarnished by delay and time, is still interesting.

Yeah probably, i do think Broner can win the rematch by Decision this time around vs Madonna.

Maidonna can't beat Mayweather, so he should just rematch Broner, and let Khan have at Mayweather, since no one seems available. If i had to choose between Khan or Madonna to fight Floyd Maywetter, i'd have to choose Khan for now. But like i said....Mayweather better KO the F out of Khan and put on a good show worth the money.

No ,the only thing that will hurt Broner is a fight with Maidana.

Maidana is too big and powerful for Broner ,he needs to move down to 140 and fight someone like Humberto Soto or Jesse Vargas ,he's biting off more than he can chew fighting at 147.

Ok... Lets assume Maidana gets the fight.. Then lets assume that Mayweather wins..

That would leave Broner in a no win situation..

Should Broner avenge his loss to Maidana - People would say that Floyd softened him up.

Should Broner fail to beat Maidana after the Mayweather fight (Again assuming that Floyd maintained his unbeaten record), people will say that he was never an elite fighter anyway.

You would also get the ''Big brother beat little brothers tormentor...'' Not really the best hype for a mean boxer's reputation is it...?

Does anyone really care about Broner? He's a fool and he deserves to be in shame after that whuppin' he just received from Maidana.

Both Maidana and Khan are easy work for Mayweather. The fight I want to see is Bradley-Mayweather, but sadly we won't see that because of all the TR/GBP bullsh!t.

If floyd beats maidana easily, which i think that will happen...Then it really screw broner's career...However, if maidana KO floyd...It elevates broners career...But i doubt it will happen...So it all depends on the outcome of the fight...

If the vote calls for Mayweather/ Maidana, will this screw Broner's career? Broner was going to use the rematch clause. Maidana would go for Mayweather money, instead of honoring the contractual rematch obligation. Does this take away Broner's opportunity to get revenge and regain his title? Will Floyd's clinical win over Maidana (if that's how it plays out) make Broner look worse?

Not as painful for the boxing fans who are still screaming for Floyd's to fight Pacquiao.
