Boxing: How far would have gone if Edwin Valero lived?

It's impossible to say, but I would put him on the same type of level as a Prince Hamed. He was entertaining, and dominant, but lacked top opponents, in his case didn't get their yet.

Not very far. Valero, RIP, never had tough competition all his career. As Pacquiao once said, he's just fighting "tuktuk" or tricycle drivers. Had he fought just one ranked contender or elite fighter, like, say, a Juan Manuel Marquez or Brandon Rios, he'd have easily been annihilated.

Not too much farther, Broner totally destroyed Demarco easily. Valero had trouble, although he does hit hard and is a fighting breed.

i think valero would have rivaled marquez and rios for supremacy in the lightweights and even threaten bradley and khan at junior welterweights. but given his lack of boxing savvy,. i don't see him being very successful though, beating rios and possibly marquez but losing to bradley and khan.
