Boxing: Guerrero say Floyd's camp demanded a rematch?

What can we interpret from that?

Not too much Sean. It's a standard move. Canelo had a rematch clause in his contract with Trout although there was no rematch the other way around so....

I don't know if you saw that article where they interviewed Floyd's ex, she said, "Floyd doesn't put himself in a position to lose, take that however you want".

I follow boxing closely but I don't know much about contracts so my first question would be has he ever asked for a rematch clause before? If not I think this is a business move by Mayweather. He reckonizes he is getting older and with age comes deterioration of skills esp defensive, footwork, etc. If Floyd loses everybody instantly will go to Guerrero. He will become the new superstar and face of the sport. He will also hold the crown as one of the greatest upsets ever. So Floyd is saying okay if I lose with no rematch clause I will be losing money by fighting somebody else if he doesn't rematch me. But if I instantly rematch him it will probably even surpass the ratings and money of the first fight. If i lose at least i get a last paycheck. If i win i get back to where i was. Its win win. Its all about money. Its an incredibly savvy business move by an aging fighter. Floyd will have a good future after boxing, very smart man.

It's not fixed or anything. Floyd picked Guerrero because its easy work. He'll probably get hit a few times to make it seem close when in reality, he's fighting a kid he can beat easily.

In short, Money's gonna win, but he's under a six fight contract so he's gonna make it look close enough to where fans will want a rematch, and school him in the next fight.

Sounds like something Money would do right?

What is the big deal Manny had a rematch deal with Bradley but he did not us it. All major champs have rematch clauses in there contracts.

Maybe floyd think that he picked the wrong dude...LOL...Guerreros style, when he fought berto...He uses his jab a to deflect bertos shoulder roll and hit him with his left straight...And it works...I dont know if it works with floyd...

almost all Floyd's contract has rematch clause...

Is May afraid that he might lose by Decision or TKO?

What can we interpret from that?
