Floyd vs Duran?
Floyd vs Hearns?
Floyd vs Hagler?
Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Sugar Ray Leonard. I think against the Fab 4, Mayweather does the best against Leonard. This would be a highly competitive bout, but I believe Leonard takes a split decision.
Leonard by split decision.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Roberto Duran. If Jose Luis Castillo almost did it, Duran could do it for sure. Duran would pressure Mayweather, even using dirty tactics to turn this into an ugly fight.
Duran by unanimous decision.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Thomas Hearns. Hearns will cause all kinds of problems against Mayweather. He will use that long reach of his, boxing skills, and great power.
Hearns TKO11.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Marvin Hagler. If they were the same weight, possibly Mayweather, but Hagler is simply too big for Mayweather.
Hagler TKO10.
He could beat Leonard but Id say Leonard beats him 60/40
Hearns would knock him out, Floyd has nothing to offer the Hitman
Duran would be a great fight 50/50 i'd say
Hagler too big, would beat him soundly.
Edit: Irrelevant question as Floyd would have ducked them all if he was around in the 80s, or more than likely stayed at a very low weight class rather than swim with the sharks.
Floyd would go 0-4. I think they could all of been competitive matches, but the 80's competition would make the current day competition looks like amateurs.
Leonard UD
Duran TKO
Hearns UD
Hagler KO
Unlike many of Floyds opponents these guys were big, they weren't journeymen & they had experience.
Floyd vs Leonard; Leonard victory via UD.
''A great big boxer always defeats a great little boxer''. Leonard knocked out the Ring light heavyweight champion. Leonard fought few times but his amateur experience was 1 of the best ever, & his professional experience was ALWAYS against the best while Floyd struggled to beat an old Oscar [who never had success at middleweight]. PS; Oscar was Floyds biggest opponent.
Floyd vs Duran; At what weight?
At lightweight Duran kills Floyd. Everywhere up until 147lbs Duran should win a comfortable decision. Above 147lbs Duran slowed down allot, so at 154lbs id have Mayweather by decision.
Floyd vs Hearns; terrible style matchup for Mayweather. A one-sided decision or ko victory for Hearns.
Floyd vs Hagler; How about Floyd vs Muhammad Ali or Floyd vs Hopkins?
Floyd never fought at middleweight and Hagler didn't fight professionally below middleweight. If the fight were below middleweight then Mayweather by ud or tko since Hagler would be drained, and if it's at middleweight or above then Hagler walks through Floyd who's never weighed at even 153lbs.
hagler is too big for floyd. if they ever faced at 160lbs it would come down to floyd not being comfortable at that weight and hagler's power should overwhelm him.
hearns blend of height/speed/handspeed/footspeed/power makes maywetaher come unstuck.hearns wins this one 7/8 times out of 10.as i think floyd is capable of hurting hearns with a counter punch
leonard mayweather is a closer fight because of leonard's dimensions and the fact that he dropps his hands alot.his reach is similar to may's and that trouble's him because he would have to get closer to land and although he has the handspeed/footspeed to hit mayweather and get away he still gets caught a lot in doing so because of his low guard.still leonards athletism speed gets him through a very close fight.
leonard 6 times out of 10 for me
duran loses to floyd 6 times out of 10 at 147.duran falls short on speed in this fight but can make up for it in fitness and workrate and has the power to hurt him.however i give may the edge as his sharp counter punching abillity keeps duran at bay alot of the time
@sean let me know what you think
IMO, Floyd would lose to all of them. All these guys, including Ray Leonard who boxed much like Floyd, could punch and they all could hurt Floyd, who has never faced anyone of these 4 guys caliber.
