Boxing: Does boxing need more...?

...all action 1 dimensional sluggers or more high skilled master boxers?

Can't have enough of both. U know Broner is a highly skilled boxer and he's very entertaining.

For me personally, I enjoy watching the likes of Floyd, Rigondeaux, Whitaker etc... Box masterfully but what I don't like is boxers who flat out run or clinch for the purpos of stalling and having fans calling it skills, like Devon Alexander, Andre Direll or Miguel Vazquez

I like to see fighters be more like Floyd or Larry Holmes and have the skills to fight inside when the distance is closed not just clinch. Also boxers who move economically and always in balance to land a counter like Rigo or B Hop, not just run to avoid a punch like Vazquez or Direll

The casual fans outnumber the die-hard fans...and the casual fan would prefer watching Arturo Gatti or Prince Naseem rather than Rigondeaux or Bradley.

As you know the slugger always makes more money than the skilled boxer(exluding FMJ)

Prince Naseem Hamed career earnings:$90 million(adjusted to inflation) then today that would be $125 million

Donaire and Bradley COMBINED career earinings:$15 million

So the poor skilled boxers earn only a fraction of the sluggers(lol)

Boxing economically would be F'ed if the art of slugging is finished ..

A* in Economics GCSE

A in Economics as level

i think today boxing needs more exciting fighters ,weather that's a slugger or pressure fighter .look at the buzz that was around mathesse before the garcia fight or kovalev now , boxing needs a balance between boxers and fighters and now we have some brilliant technical fighters like floyd ,ward and rigo but the sluggers like rios aren't anywhere anywhere near their level .

froch and ward are a good example of 2 fighters where ward is obviously the better fighter but i would argue that froch is the bigger draw of the two ......

if we had a fighter like tyson or even jeff fenech fighting now it would bring new excitement to the game and maybe bring back some casual fans that now watch MMA hoping to see a KO .

It needs both styles like it has always had.

What boxing needs is LESS TITLES, just 1 recognized titles to that the best fight for it. Also; boxing needs promoters to work together.

Need both. Styles make fights.
