Joshua nailed it.
first off baldie pretty much nailed it but i'll have a go at my own slant on barry
A) juan laporte ... barry at his peak , i think mcguigan went down hill once he won the world title ,his fight against laporte proved barry was more than a brawler and he boxed marvellously that night ,also his win vs esteban eguia was a great night as i was there as a 14 year old with my dad at the royal albert hall in london .
B) i'm not going to say the cruz fight as barry was fighting ok for the first 10 rounds then run out of steam . i'm going with his last fight against jim McDonnell again i was there at manchester as my brother pat was chief Support . barry was being out boxed till he got cut from McDonnell's wide left hooks and he was stopped in the 4th. that was a terrible night for me my brother lost his commonwealth belt and my idol mcguigan was beaten and retired .
C) barry really was a hero in ireland much like manny pac is to the Philippines , and his ability to bring together both catholics and protestants at a time when the troubles were in full flow was amazing , members of the IRA and UDR would sit in the same building to watch barry and he did more to stop the fighting than any politician had managed .
D) his great aggressive style and soft spoken manner , he really was a gentleman outside the ring

A) Eusabio Pedroza. The passing of the torch form the crafty veteran to the up and coming brawler. I read somewhere it was the first million pound gate in British boxing history. Mcguigan took control after decking Pedroza mid way through the fight and wouldn't let up after that.
B) Cruz. Easily. It was brave by Barry and if it were held in Ireland I think he would've won a close but clear UD. As it happened his opponent was used to the debilitating heat and in the final third of the fight Barry's energy was drained from him, in the final round it was easy to see he was barely conscious and was put down twice. Had he stayed on his feet he may have won a very close decision, but very few would've lasted to the 15th. It was his best and his worst. The courage he showed was immense, but the opponent he lost to wasn't.
C) Uniting the warring factions of Ireland during the troubles. The Catholics and Protestants didn't fight when Barry was in the ring. He purposefully wore no colours with an alleigance to either religion on his trunks, the only flag carried to the ring by his entourage was the UN flag of peace. He didn't have anthems before his fights, he had "Danny Boy" played as both sides loved that tune. His apolitical stance was his greatest achievment in my eyes.

Joshua has it...... That's undisputed.
Maybe his own personal achievement was getting over the ring death of Young Ali... McGuigan's opponent slipped into a coma whilst still in the ring, and never woke from it. McGuigan seriously contemplated quitting the sport.
best performance ~ juan laporte.
worst performance ~ in his penultimate fight against julio miranda.
greatest achievement ~ uniting both factions in the troubles whenever he fought.
most remembered for being featherweight world champion, and a nice guy who always carried himself with dignity.
