It's a little deceiving though. You would assume that these guys are just a bunch of posing, drunk assholes that don't know how to fight. But then you'll come across that one out of twenty or so guys that CAN fight, and he'll tear you up.
I saw this drunk redneck get into it with this Tapout wearing, Justin Bieber haircut kid one time. The kid didn't even want to fight with the guy, but he was kind of forced into it.
The bearded hick just charged at this dude, and the guy just cold ****** him and put him down on his asss. It was hilarious, by appearance it was like Justin Bieber knocking out Tank Abbott.
Too many people wear those shirts. So many to the point where the ratio of who know fighting and who dont' won't even be close.
There's nothing wrong with the clothing but over the past 6 or 7 years those brands have developed a reputation of being worn by douche bags more than real fighters and that's because the target consumer of those brands are fans NOT FIGHTERS. The commercialization of mixed martial arts is whats to blame and if you're a real martial artist, you know that MMA has deeper roots than Affliction and Tapout clothing.
Personally I would rock the logo of the dojo I train at rather than a mainstream brand targeted at fans rather than fighters. It shows you're not some wannabe Chuck LIddel and a real martial artist doesn't need to advertise that they can fight in the first place. Sometimes I wish all these guys went back to WWE.
No offense but I agree with Primeali...
Not unless you are coming to or from fighting, sparring or practice should you be caught wearing your MMA clothing. Most of those who wear them else where are yes the aholes you are referring to.
ill be honest with you, im not saying anything about you in particular, but people who wear MMA clothing are dipshits 99.99% of the time. I suggest you change ur wardrobe
Nothing worse than going out and watching the wanna be's flexing and posing. Couldn't agree with you more my friend. The thing you got going for you is,T shirts don't fight, but you do.
Dude If you are an mma fighter, show them. whop their a** don't let them talk trash to you man.
So i have a vairety of clothes but most are MMA clothing like Bad Boy Affliction American Fighter ect.... Anyways in college my friend told me how some people think i'm a tool and a wannabe fighter.....when i'm actually an MMA fighter, but thats only the people that do not know me and im wearing those shirts because i love the sport, but whats your opinion on guys who wear this? because the ones that wear this type of clothing bearly know anything about the sport much less train, i think it gives a bad image on us because some that wear it are complete assholes.
