Are you open to Floyd JMM 2?

Their first fight was a mismatch going in as Marquez was a blown up and aging lightweight. And I don't see his chances improving in the rematch. Marquez may have filled into the frame of a jr welterweight, but he sacrificed his speed by doing so. In his fourth fight with Pac, he was getting tagged more cleanly and often than ever before. Yes, he managed to pull off a stunning ko, but he did so by digging deep and sitting down on his punches/standing and trading. Mayweather isn't going to simply stand and trade with him the way Pac did and Marquez lacks the physicality to impose himself on him and rough him up. Mayweather would basically potshot and circle Marquez who's even slower and has more mileage on him than before. (Even Marquez realizes he's over the hill, which is why he was seriously considering retirement). His only chance would be to hope he can land one big shot that will hurt Mayweather (like he did against Pac), but Mayweather is more intelligent and less reckless than Pac.

Styles make fights and regardless of Marquez's "newfound" power, or build, he'll always be a counter puncher and his style is all wrong for Money. Money will wipe him out again so I wouldn't have any interest whatsoever. People say that Rigendioux Donaire fight would have looked like Money vs. Manny, but they're absolutely wrong. The Rigendioux Donaire fight looked exactly like the Money Marquez fight. Donaire is a natural counter puncher who was forced to take the fight to the "other" natural (more skilled) counter puncher. Marquez will be forced to take the fight to the other natural (more skilled) counter puncher and be pot shotted all night long. Another wide UD victory by Money. No thanks.

No, its not a good fight...The result would still be the same or even worst...Floyd should fight the likes of martinez, canelo or pacquiao...Those 3 fighters can really compete with floyd...And its a good fight...

This 3 fighters that i mention will validate floyds greatness if he is willing to fight them...

Beating guerrero, amir khan or marquez again doesnt make him great...But beating martinez, canelo and pac will elivate him to the next level...Lets face it, even a very declined pacquuaio is still better fighter than amir khan, guerrero, ortiz...fact...And because of pac speed, he can compete with floyd than JMM...I did not mention martinez and canelo since the two has not been defeated yet for quite a while...

Honestly, I love that people keep lining folks up for Mayweather to outclass in the HOPE that they can even give him a fight, much less win.

But keep the guys fresh. I mean come on, JUAN MANUEL hasnt even voiced that he wants a rematch. Im sure he doesnt want to relive the darkest moment of his career, again.

Yes, if JMM beats Bradley and grab his WBO welterweight belt. Note that said belt was once worn by Manny Pacquiao until taken by Bradley. In view of this background, I think Floyd would be very interested to also grab that belt to show that he is the better fighter since he has the belt that was once worn but lost inside the ring by the Filipino boxing icon. That would be some sort of a psychological victory for him.

I think that Floyd would fight the JMM-Bradley winner first before entertaining any thoughts of Canelo Alvarez.

i'm not sure about that, but mayweather needs to fight pacquaio. i'm not doubting mayweathers ability and if anything, he'd probably beat the present day pacquaio, but he doesn't act like a true champion. a true champion doesn't make up excuses not too fight somebody... they just fight. if floyds going to go down as the best boxer pound for pound that has ever been, he needs to make this fight happen

No no matter why Marquez might of lost as badly as he did this fight out come will never change!

There is nothing you can do to justify that except easy money.

Marquez has no business being in the ring with Mayweather again. He lost to Mayweather while Mayweather was just toying with him to shake off ring rust.

What's the point of having the fight when they're both going to be running around..

you're joking ? right?

nah... we don't need that fight...

First off, JMM did nothing in their fight to earn a rematch and I'm not usually a fan of fighters getting a rematch they don't earn. However there are some factors to consider, such as their fight being JMM's first fight above 140, before that he was fighting guys like Diaz and Katsidis for lightweight titles. He was basically forced to take the fight at 142 or find another dance partner, while Floyd had no intention of coming down that far staying at 146.

Since then JMM has taken to the weight quite well as evident in his performances against Pacquiao and Fedchenko (light welter) and that other Mexican he "knocked out" in Mexico.

He'll be fighting Bradley next at Welter which is what got me asking this question. Tim Bradley with that undefeated record would make for great PR against Floyd but if Marquez were to win, what are the chances he'll get another shot at Flyod, are you open to it and would it sell?
