Personally, the idea of a girl being a boxer is totally normal. I think it's all good for you to be a boxer. Most people think that girls should be shopping for clothes, or doing each others make-up, or that other girly stuff, so you're probably gonna get those few who critizise you. Hope you get high in the ranks!
go to a class, not a boxing class at a fitness gym, a proper boxing gym class, but you can still use the bag and run skip plyometrics etc on the days off if the classes are only 3 times a week, train 5 at least or you will just be going into the ring to get punched and smashed up face. no its not masculine girl boxers are good to watch especially in the olympics.
Nothing wrong with being a girl boxer. After all, there are male models, ha ha! You are in a very good position too, in all seriousness. If your dad was a boxer, you can ask him to teach you some tricks before you go to the training sessions, or ask him to show you while you train. Running and swimming would both be great ideas for your main aerobic cardio training. Practise your technique at least twice a week, preferably 3 times. Boxing is definitely not too masculine a sport for a girl. Look at Muhammad Ali. 3 time heavyweight champion, Olympic light heavyweight gold medallist, his 'daughter', Laila Ali was the WIBA, IWBF and IBA super middleweight world 'women's' champion. And girls can hit hard too. At one of my old gyms, one girl I was talking to was sparring, and invited me in. All my friend's talked me into it, but I 'Didn't want to hurt her'. Boy was that a mistake. First jab I threw, she slipped it and countered back with a 'huge' (and I mean 'huge'!) right uppercut that knocked me into next week! I'll never forget that, partly because my friend's never let me forget, but that's the last time I underestimate a girl in the ring! So yes girls can be amazing boxers! Go for it!
Totally, I'm 15 and I'm a boxer/
And try and d as much fitness thigs as possibel. It well help when it comes dow to training.
Good look x

I'd love to be a boxer, but I'm a girl. My dad was a boxer ?
I'm 13, 5"1 and 106lbs.
I have a punch bag in my garage (that my dad used to use) so should I use that or actually go to a boxing class? Which would be better?
Also, is there any other exercise I should do? Like running or swimming to help me train better?
How many times a week should I practise boxing and how many times a week should I do other stuff (running, swimming etc...) ?
And what do you think of a girl being a boxer? is it weird or too masculine for a girl to do?
Thanks in advance, please detail your answer ?
