As far as Golovkin vs Quillin, I see Golovkin KO 7. Quillin showed real trouble against Rosado's pressure... What would he do vs the intelligent pressure of Golovkin?
Vs. Martinez... I think Stevens showed speed could trouble Golovkin. Sergio is faster and smarter and would pull a close decision.
Vs. Mayweather... I think Golovkin would have a punchers chance, but Floyd's speed would trouble him...also, he is very vulnerable to the overhand right. I doubt he could win early rounds vs Floyd. He could wear Floyd down though...Mayweather UD.
Vs. ward....even
John Ozil,
the middleweight division is in a golden era.
I knew that when a former soviet citizen dominated a weight division everyone would start saying ''the division is weak''.
We were in a golden age of heavyweight boxing but when Wladimir destroyed every American champion, we suddenly were in a ''weak era''.
Now GGG is cleaning the division and we are in a ''weak era'' because no 1 can back him up.
You guys are overhyping this guy too much. Don't get me wrong GGG is tough but his record is BS. Tell me one fighter he's fought that's in the top 50 P4P. Macklin? Yeah the guy has power, but there's no way he beats Martinez. There's so many mistakes he makes that a slick boxer would expose.
It's funny how you guys do this with fighters with okay boxing skills, but they have a lot of power. Like Matthysse for example, 90% took him knocking Garcia out just because he has a lot of power. Fighters like Matthysse and GGG struggle with pure boxers like Maravilla.
Maravilla stops him on cuts, 10.
I've said it time and time again. GGG is great coming forward but he cannot fight going backwards at all. Defense is pretty poor as well. Someone who's strong enough to pressure him they can destroy this guy. Too bad the division is just too weak. There's a reason why he has been matched up with smaller guys.
He has raw power, but little skill
Cuz that dude is Gangsta.... GGGG
After a couple rounds, Gennady showed no respect for Stevens' power.
This dude is the modern day Middleweight version of Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.
And you gotta love those post fight interviews...
Sergio Martinez gets KO'd in 8. Cotto in 4. Quillen would be a good fight for as long as he can stay on his feet, but he'll eventually get stopped.
the sky's the limit for GGGG
