Aaron walks all over Alvarado the knocks him stiff inside of rounds. You're comparing apples to oranges here my friend. Pryor was the only man that Ray Leonard ever ducked. Ray went as far in the amateurs moving up a weight class to avoid Aaron. Aaron beat Alexis twice and I don't see Mike making out of the third round with Alexis.
I like Mike and Mike soundly beat Rios last night but Aaron was a far better puncher, handled taking huge shots better and Aaron also fought the way better competition. Hell, Aaron's career defining moments came against the very best in his division,Rios is fighting out of his weight divison and still managed to stop Alvarado once and came close to stopping him again in their second fight and Rios wouldn't make it out of the third round against Pryor.
Pryor, in his prime, was unbeatable at 140. I do even think that he's the greatest 140-pounder of all time. There's just way too much power, skill and savvy in Pryor than Alvarado could ever have.
The drugs are an incidental.
The drugs only became an issue once he had the money to afford them, which was towards the latter part of his career.
Dont get me wrong...I AM COMPLETELY RESPECTING Alvarado!!! And I have high praise for Brandon Rios. But if Rios could make Alvarado weave like that...Pryor would concuss him.
I don't know about pryor. All the drug controversy and his trainer not being a saint. If I had coke in my system I probably would of gone in there like superman.. I would go with Alvarado in decision.
Aaron Pryor would destroy any current 140lb fighter on the planet.
