A true boxing fan will know Castillo beat Mayweather!?

I just watched the fight again because I remember watching it ages ago and thinking Floyd had a bad night but maybe just took it, but I gotta say after viewing it again that Castillo probably should have got the decision. he was the champ and he really outmuscled Floyd for a lot of the rounds.

Floyd started well but it was clear his shoulder was really bothering him. you can see him switching to southpaw early, to try and avoid using his left. I think it was a torn rotator cuff I read before. I've had the same injury and its hell, lifting your arm is a nightmare and throwing every punch hurts. Castillo really came on strong in the middle rounds, and closed the fight well. the refereeing was a joke and the point deductions just served to complicate things further.

end of the day, it was still a close fight, yeah Castillo prob should have won but he didn't, he had the chance to do it again in the rematch and he lost that one cleanly. Floyd got the decision, let his injury heal and then dominated him. decisions like that happen all the time, people only pay it more attention because floyd has remained undefeated and dominant since.

It was a close fight, and so was the second fight. Two judges had the second fight scored 7 rounds to 5 for Mayweather [as did i].

I did have the first fight for Castillo but it could go either way. Castillo was a bad match-up for Mayweather. Castillo was a swarmer and swarmers always give smart boxers problems.

Mayweather was in his prime in that fight [10 months after his Diego fight which is considered his prime].

Allot of people fall into boxers hype but they forget that every great boxer struggled with certain obstacles and few accepted the bad match-ups.

A true boxing fan will know **** happens. Floyd got some of that too. Way back in amateur, he got robbed. Same with Roy Jones. The worst ive seen in live TV was MAnny against Tim. That was robbery at its best. Man, that was not even close.

Floyd had some controversial fights like the first against Castillo and IMO vs Oscar too. Although close fights, i favored vs Floyd. Aint robbery in my eyes but i had to scratch my head a bit and say ok. No big deal. The Pacquiao that fought Bradley had Tim in the wheelchair afterwards. The aftermath says it all. Not the case actually with Floyd

Fight was too close to call, I had it 7-5 for Castillo, but there was rounds I gave to Castillo that I wasn't too sure about. Compubox scores aren't 100% accurate, and can be misleading, judges don't use Compubox, so it's pointless to ever go by that.

You're a little crazy in thinking it was all Castillo.

Fact is, the fight was very close and a 7-5 type fight for either guy (in rounds).

I'm a Mayweather fan, but I had it 114-112 for Castillo. It was very close, and like I said, it could've gone either way.

That's the way I had it though. Floyd took the immediate rematch and completely owned Castillo, so don't forget to give him major props for that.

Too bad all anyone remembers is the fact that the first fight was rough and close.

why do you think he avoids swarmers like margarito and pacquiao?

if there's one thing he learned from castillo is to stay away from swarmers, specially those who punches harder than castillo...

in the castillo fight, man he actually got schooled....

Castillo outlanded his *** in power punches and in total punches in general. How in the hell did he even get the UD? Mayweather lost. His REAL fans would know this. And yes he won the 2nd fight but Castillo won the first, that's what you call a total robbery. Only a blind idiot would disagree and hasn't seen the official compubox scores and stats.
