Would you prefer brunch or a dinner/supper?

In my opinion, brunches are easier as you can combine breakfast and luncheon foods. In addition, brunch parties don't often run over. You can also limit the alcohol served at brunch by just serving Champagne cocktails like mimosas and Bellinis, Screw Drivers and Bloody Marys. Many dishes and be made ahead like these:

Do Ahead French Toast

I would prefer brunch, lots of easy and delicious options.

We go out to brunch often, usually an upperscale brunch buffet with all kinds of seafood, carving stations, salads, fruits, various egg options, waffle station, etc.

Brunch.

I prefer tea/dinner as a meal

You can make it early (6ish) or later (8ish) - alcohol can be a problem though as can running late.

But I prefer special meals to be more of starter, main, pudding as I don't get 3 courses often - so it's more of a treat

dinner

I have to decide if I want a brunch of a dinner/supper for my graduation...and then my mom and husband are going to plan the rest. Would brunch or dinner/supper work better? My husband and I always try to make an effort to go to everyone's function...but I know people are busy. What would be the best option?
