Would you agree that heavyweight boxing is boring?

Many heavyweights in Ali's time moved and fought like they were lightweights---Frazier, Ellis, Quarry, Patterson, Eddie Machen, Doug Jones

Marciano himself was a fast, active, explosive heavyweight as Ezzard Charles and Jersey Joe Walcott..

Who say they were lumbering?

The fastest heavyweights today would look slow mo compared to them.

No heavyweight boxing is not boring.

You should see more heavyweight boxing especially in the 50s through the 80s.

Today, many of the heavyweights are ex football players that are looking to strike it rich. Their training methods although strenuous to them, fares way off to the old time fighters in the heavyweight division. James J. Jeffries and many fighter's or that era would routinely do 20 miles of roadwork. Rocky Marciano who relied on his conditioning would do 9 months up in the Catskills at Grossinger's resort training and working on his conditioning. Today, the average heavyweight might spend some time in the gym, but does not compare to previous heavyweights. Many load up on the big right hand and spend the rest of the time being separated from constant clinches and hugging and holding.

I really don't give a crap about the heavyweight division today. It is full of bums. Those who arent bums arent that good. Only decent fighters are the Klitschkos, but Vitali has already retired, leaving the less talented Grabimir as the best in the division.

Not really but I will admit that the Heavyweight Division is probably the most over-hyped and overrated weight class in not only boxing but in nearly all combat sports.

yes

oh yes

Not the modern era, but generally speaking. They always seem like lumbering, awkward brutes. That's why Tyson and Ali were so great, they were fluid with their movement, like lightweights.

Light weights are always agile, fast, and rely on skill. I know heavyweights are skilled too, obviously, but it doesn't come through when their boxing.
