Would this work for a party?

That isn't a party, it's an event. Are you old enough to sign a contract? You'll have to be, to rent a place. And when the place finds out what kind of event, they might want security there, which you will pay for.

8 Dollars seems reasonable, but 5 is just easier for people to fork over. As far as marketing goes, there are no 8 dollar bills. So I'd go with five.

Hell, no. That many kids getting together for a 'grindfest' is going to be a huge problem. You can be sure there will be those who bring drugs and alcohol (both illegal for high schoolers), not to mention the teenage pregnancies nine months later.

So I was thinking about throwing a big party towards the end of summer. It'd be about a 250 to 300 person grindfest (we're in high sschool, that's the only kind of party there is). I was thinking about renting out a place that already has liability insurance and all that stuff, plus a DJ and lights. Its going to cost quite a bit of money to have the whole thing, so do you think people would be willing to pay around $8 to get in? I just need the money so I'm not out 1 grand at the end of all this. good idea or nah?
