(Yesterday, before fight is made):
Dude, Floyd is ducking Canelo. He wants no part of that young, hard hitting lion. They'll NEVER fight.
------
(Sept. 15th, after the fight):
Dude, everyone knew Floyd would go Ike Turner on Canelo and treat him like Tina. Canelo is too young and inexperienced.
He's not that much bigger than Floyd at all, in fact he looked smaller. Plus it looked like he was paid to not try. It was so obvious, typical cherry pick by Floyd. He'll never fight anyone good, he's been ducking Devon Alexander for years...
Mayweather won fair and square. I'll give him that. I don't hate him, I just don't like him. I would much rather root for Canelo even though he lost. Canelo Alvarez is a humble man. Mayweather, on the other hand, is arrogant and loud. I don't care how "talented" or rich he is. He disgusts me.
Floyd will never get the full credit he deserves there is always someone else he is " ducking " they claim. Everybody said Floyd was scared of Mosley, Hatton, and De La Hoya then when he beat them people said things like those fighters were over the hill but when Pacquiao beat those guys after Mayweather people gave Pacquiao all the credit in the world. Then when Manny went down hill everybody started saying he was going to duck Canelo. The point is there will always be someone else I have been saying this for a long time Floyd Mayweather will never get the credit he deserves from his haters but no matter who you are a fan of the fact remains 44 have tried and 44 have failed.
what's your definition of a hater? according to mayweather, he considered an over the hill cotto to be undefeated when they fought because manny fought him at a catchweight. but now he's doing the very same thing to canelo. if you believe people are being haters for criticizing him, then that must mayweather a hater and a hypocrite in your eyes, because people are only judging him by the same standards he uses to judge others.
Floyd is never in a win-win situation, there will be excuses once he beats Canelo.
That's the point of being the biggest success in Boxing you will generate haters, and not just in boxing but in life as well... Every successful person lies a pack of haters.
These haters are all miserable low lifes who have nothing good going on in their life so they tend to put their hatred on someone to make themselves feel better.
I don't like Mayweather but he is the best and yes I will give him credit if he beats Alvarez.
then why the 152 catchweight? (i remember floyd's dad talkin about canelo to enter the ring at150lbs or no fight)... man, even at 152 in the weigh in, he will feel heavy if he steps in the ring at 170+... that will cause him his stamina, and would make him even slower on the later rounds as his punches becomes weaker...
am tired of this kind of fights...canelo got no chance of winning in this fight... and maybe he cares less about winning... as long as you got paid your biggest paycheck, plus you got assurances...
just let floyd retire a legend...
Nope.....after he wins they'll say Canelo was too young and he should have fought Matthysse.....then after he beats Matthysse, they'll say he was too small & should have fought Martinez, then they'll say Martinez was too old and he should have fought so & so.....etc, etc.
id give him credit if he beats him without giving a marathon during the fight -__-....but whatever happened to fighting at the weight his opponents are comfortable?...
or will they just find reasons that are not being stated now, as to why Canelo was an unsuitable opponent just like they did after Mayweather beat Cotto?
Seems to me Mayweather's critics are happy at his decision to take on the younger & stronger Saul Alvarez but they're always happy until Mayweather comes through and then the hating begins again. It's at 152lbs, that's a generous catchweight to Canelo because 150.5 would be halfway so will he finally get the credit he deserves when he dispatches Alvarez?
