First time I heard of an illegal gloves made by a respectable manufacturer in boxing. It's all just a matter of preference and Floyd want a gloves that won't hurt him but there's no such thing as illegal unless it is tampered or for another sport. Does makers of gloves even think of making one that will be ruled as illegal when there's a possibility of being use in a championship fight? Those people just want to please Floyd Jr. and his caprice and it has padding unlike what some said. It is only not cotton like most people expect but horse hair, why it was called puncher's gloves and it is legal by all means.

It won't really matter what type of gloves Maidana will use. He is not going to hit Mayweather 1/10 as often as he hit them in their first fight. Mayweather will box and move and win from the outside.

Chino did not wear his gloves because they did not have cotton in them. Floyd told the commission and they made both of them wear the same gloves. I think it was a smart strategy because a fighter safety is first.

Not sure if Robert Garcia has the confidence to really confront the Mayweather camp about this and put up a fight. In the first contest, Robert seemed a little intimidated and basically just gave in without much of a fight. That was understandable given the situation they were in at the time but now they have a bit more leverage will they be able get what they want?

Will Floyd keep up with the mind games making his opponents jump through hoops, gaining the mental edge before they even step in the ring, will it work a second time as it clearly bothered Garcia and Maidana last time.

Also, Is it in Floyd's best interest to let them use their selected gear and remove all doubt of what could have been if Chino had his gloves, and will doing so give the Maidana side bit of a mental boost coming into the fight?
