First the put wrap on their hands and then they put on the gloves. Why don't they start sticking sponges on their gloves ?

How bout u train 5 days a week doing six 3 minute rounds on the heavy bag wearing no gloves then come ask that question again. And thats taking it easy

I think its to get use to them. I actually dont use gloves when i punch a bag that way when i hit somebody in a street fight my hand wont hurt as bad

i would guess they put gloves on to punch a bag so they can be used to punching with gloves on
