You need your helmet for in case an accident happens like you fall off your skateboard and dont brake or hurt your head .
On the street? That's where cars drive and hit kids on skateboards.
Because if you hurt yourself a helmet can save your life and your parents are really worried I guess.

So my parent make me wear a helmet when I'm just cruising on a skateboard. I always wear a helmet when bombing hills or sliding, but is it really necessary for just cruising around? Also, I don't go of curbs or anything, I just go on the street.
