BTW: It's a opinion on who is better but my pick is Floyd mayweather.
P.S. the biggest hype job in boxing is Chavez jr. In fact, I think Canelo will beat him.
At this moment i don't know who is better; Floyd Mayweather is old and Rigo is at or reaching the peek of his powers.
If you mean to ask who is greater; than so far Mayweather.
Diego was the best at superfeatherweight, Castillo was 1 of the best at lightweight, Baldomir was at the time the best at 147lbs and Alvarez the best at 154lbs. None of those guys were ranked as highly as
Donaire but they were still the best.
Rigo has Donaire and Agbeko, that's it.
Rigo has potential to be greater, he is starting his pro career sensationally, but he still has a long way to go. As Rigo goes up in weight he should do like Floyd and pick smart fights, if he fights everyone he will end up like Ivan Calderon, who's ability was as good as Mayweather and Rigo's
I like Floyd to be honest. I dont like Rigo -to this point.
Who is the better? Rigondeaux or Mayweather?
In the Olympics -there was not a chance Mayweather would be hold in the same breath as Rigo history wise. 2 gold medals against a single bronze. Id take 1 gold medal against 3 bronzes anyday! BUT in professional boxing, its the other way around. Rigo's biggest win should be against 2012 fighter of the year Nonito Donaire. Great victory against the Flash alright. in hindsight, its more of Nonito losing the fight in his own terms than Rigo taking the fight to him. If everyone fell in love with that, those 'everyone' should fall too with the performance of Darchinyan vs Donaire in their last fight. See my point? Nonito sucked nowadays, he's trying to end matters up with a big punch. He's never a knockout artist. If he'll continue like that he'll become Flush Donaire. LOL. Going back to Rigo. He outrun Nonito -not outbox! the" he run like a chicken" intended by Guerero's corner to Floyd actually was apt for Rigo. Its not really a thing Floyd would do. Floyd sometimes engages when the fans egg him too. The sweet science is best defined by Floyd. Rigo's good but never that sweet
One of my buddies was destroyed by Rigondeaux back in 2011. Up to that point, I cared little for the inexperienced Cuban, and too be honest, I never gave him a chance against my buddy
When Rigo took apart Willie Casey in one round in Dublin, I was dumbfounded, I couldn't believe the sharpness of this dude, he was quick, intelligent, and blocked attacks before Willie even thought about them...
I studied Rigo from that night onwards... The man is a walking advert for what 'boxing prowess' is... With over 400 amateur fights with a 99% win ratio - This guy is the business.
A lot of todays elite will avoid Rigo - There's little chance of beating him.
At this moment in boxing - I doubt there is a better fighter than Rigondeaux.
If the there was P4P all weight table today - Rigondeaux would be at the very top.
You need to get your facts straight. Mayweather is almost 37 years old and has been dominating for nearly 2 decades.
Rigondeaux has only 12 professional fights. When Mayweather had 12 fights he was dropping guys, outclassing guys in a eay Rigondeaux has not. He moved up in weight 4 times and has easily beaten his opponents because of his skill.
Rigo has done what besides beat Donaire?
Correction--Floyd has had 45 fights across five weight divisions spanning almost two decades now and has won world championships in all the classes he has fought into. If Manny Pacquiao is the best man in his division, what do you call Juan Manuel Marquez who kayoed Pacquiao in December 2012 and woefully lost to Mayweather ?
Rigo could be the best at 122 lbs. and possibly even 126 lbs. but he is still far from being a legend. One swallow does not a spring make, dude.
Mayweather because he's smarter and goes beyond being technical. Rigo's too mechanical.
both are elite but floyd is the greater professional
IMO Rigondeaux is more Skilled Than Mayweather.
Floyd mayweather is better.
I think Rigo is an absolute legend. He has had 12 pro fights and already has conquered the best guy in his division, Donaire.
Floyd has had 45 fights an still hasn't fought the best guy in his division, Pacquiao.
I think Rigo is better, faster, has more balls and although Rigo hasn't done enough to be universally considered the top guy in boxing, I believe him to be the best right now. Long live Guillermo Ring God Deaux!
COWARD IS BETTER ask the best coward floyd jr.
