Perhaps the most important piece of equipment used in the ring by fighters is the type of gloves they choose to wear on the night of the fight, as well as during their training.
To the casual observer, all gloves basically look the same; however, it’s the subtle nuances in the various brands of gloves that can potentially be the difference between winning and losing on fight night.
So, here’s a breakdown of the most popular types of boxing gloves used by top professionals, amateurs and just people boxing to stay fit.
Wow dude never get a glove that looks anything like that, why? Because those are toy gloves, novelties, if you're serious about boxing then stay the f*ck away from anything that looks like a "classic" because it will literally be a form of false leather with cotton wool stuffed inside.
You need to stick with known brands as well, anything from the higher end stuff like Cleto Reyes, Grant or rival to the generally cheaper ones like Adidas, everlast and fighting. But be wary of some cheap everlast gloves as they can be toy gloves also.
It's also not about how easy it is to knock people out with the glove but how well it protects your hands, how safe it is for your sparring partners (because this is a sport where people can get seriously hurt), how we'll it fits your hand etc.
I take it as your about to start boxing training because of you're awful choice of gloves and not about to enter a professional boxing match, so this is why safety is important in gloves because boxing can ruin your hands over time so you want a good long lasting glove that can be used on bags (10 - 12 oz), then probably some for sparring (14 -16 oz)
The gloves you linked will last about two days so they will actually cost you more than just buying good gloves that will last.
If I had to pick then I would go for the first one, but if you turned up in a boxing gym with them, you'd probably get laughed at, their awful, I wouldn't even consider them as boxing gloves nevermind let someone punch me in them.
