Wilder took the stay busy fight against Gavern b/c Stiverne injured his hand in training, and the fight was delayed. I don't think there's anything more to it than that.
Both fighters are eager to fight each other, but Stiverne has a hand injury. Both fighters are probably extremely confident too. Stiverne thinks he's going to expose Wilder, and Wilder thinks he will easily KO Stiverne.
Bermane Stiverne/Deontay Wilder vs Anthony Joshua (Olympic medalist 2012) would be a good match too.
I'm eager to watch Stiverne vs Wilder too.
Wilder probably feels he's not ready for anyone real, yet. Wilder needed another fight with another fat bum named Jason Giverne before having to go face Stiverne. But i'd be rooting for Wilder though.
The fight will eventually happen by December or January of next year. I think we will see if Wilder is an amatuer or not when he decide to take on Stivierne.
I think he deserve credit if he won because alot of people are doubting him. However, it would not be a good look if he lost.

Stiverne will get his belt taken if he don't fight Wilder, i don't think Stiverne is scared of an amateur like Wilder, it might be the other way around, which is the reason the fights not happening. Fudge the trash talkin, even Stiverne said that too, and i know he ain't scared, i just think the #1 contender Wilder don't want none n has been talkin alot of trash to cover it up.
