Smaller ones are good for tricks, but If it's for skateparks a medium size is good.
Or the bigger one for riding different places.
there is no right size for anyone, its personal preference, i will ride any board as long as my trucks are the same size as the deck, that could be a 7.5 up to and 8.2 ... get any size and get used to it, if u dont like it get a different size and see if u get a difference
for your shoe size you should probably get a 7.5 deck ...... if your going for tricks and street skating you would want the smaller board but for vert skating you might want the wider boards
small ar good for flip tricks wider are for street and skate park skating
