I was just reading a fanfiction about a guy that is a boxing, and that his opponent cheated by 'Lacing'. What does Lacing mean??????

Rubbing the lacing of the gloves across the opponents eyes.

Lacing is the "shoestrings" that tie inside the wrists of the gloves.

To lace, means to rub the laces across the opponent's face in hopes of cutting her/him.

scraping the laced part of your gloves across an opponents face
