Does he like dried fruit or nuts? They are nice in cookies too. A dollop of chocolate spread in the centre of each is nice or you could sandwich two together with ice cream or cream and jam - yum. You could make mini ones and layer them with cream and fruit in a tall glass and put some chocolate sauce on top. You can also bake the cookie dough on the reverse of a cupcake pan to make small edible 'bowls' and fill them with whatever yummy things you'd like :) hope that's gives you some ideas!

why don't you make him heart shaped sprinkled cookies! There easy to bake and mean a lot! Just make a regular cookie and spread some heart shaped sprinkles and regular sprinkles or if you want it even better than shape the cookie into a heart and then add some cookie frosting and spread heart shaped sprinkles and regular sprinkles!! Don't take this the wrong way, but if he's melancholy... blowing him would cheer him up more than cookies.

Replace the chocolate chips with chopped Andes mints or another candy bar. Do peanut butter with milk chocolate chips. Oatmeal/cinnamon/cherry (just replace the raisins with dried sour cherries). Or lemon bars.

Chocolate Chip recipe, but sub the choc chips out for reeses pieces or heath bits, some kind of candy that he loves.

I think chocolate chip would be the best actually, something simple but delicious

I want to bake cookies for my boyfriend, he's been down a lot lately and I want to cheer him up a bit! And I don't just want to make him chocolate chip because I do that often, so any ideas on a easy but unique cookie?? I don't want to spend tons of money either!
