Victor Galindez vs Vito Antuofermo, 15 rounds, who wins?

Two tough rugged brawlers that could each box some too, but Galindez was a more skilled boxer.

Also Galindez was a natural lightheavy while Antuofermo was a natural middleweight.

The biggest nok on both fighters is that they were both bleeders. Taking this into account the fight might have been stopped on cuts for either of them. I don't see a KO any other way.

What great fights they both have had in their careers. Galindez against Matt Franklin and Antuofermo against Hagler. Do yourself a favor and try to youtube both of these fights.

To answer your question; Galindez by TKO on cuts or a UD over Antuofermo.

Hello Z! I had the pleasure of watching both of these two gladiators fight and one thing you could say was that they always gave it their all in the ring. Galindez was a brawling light heavyweight Champion with a sturdy chin and an aggressive style. Vito Antuofermo was a tough middleweight Champion known for his never say die style coming right at his opponent and the ability to absorb the very best shots from the best of his times. Needless to say, both were a lot of fun to watch and if this match could have ben made, it would have been action packed. As they always say, a good big man usually beats a good little man and in this fight the naturally bigger and stronger man would be Galindez. I doubt that Antuofermo has the kind of punching power to hurt or discourage Galindez who would most likely land the bigger shots. Antuofermo would not quit and would fight bravely but Galindez would finally wear down the smaller Antuofermo in about the 8th round.

Galindez WTKO8

Galindez would have been a heavy favorite, and Antuofermo a distant underdog. I think Victor wins by TKO mid way through the fight, Vito took too much punishment and didn't have the defensive ability to handle a fighter the caliber of Galindez.

Victor Galindez of Argentina, was WBA Light Heavyweight Champion from Dec 1974 until Sept 1978, and then from April 14,1979, until Nov 30,1979. He was short and stocky for a light heavyweight, but he was deceptively quick with his combinations. He did suffer quite a bit from eye cuts, which cost him the title against Mike Rossman on Sept 15,1978, in New Orleans. During a fight he would complain to the referee a lot about head butts. He fought the likes of Jorge Ahumada Ray Anderson, Pierre Fourie, Len Hutchins, Richie Kates,Eddie Mustapha Muhammad,, Alvaro Yaqui Lopez, Mike Rossman, and Harold Skog. He like Carlos Monzon, his countryman and Rodrigo Valdes fought all over the world. Vito Antuofermo, won the World Middleweight Title with a split decision over defending champion Hugo Corro of Argentina, in Monte Carlo Monaco. He defended his title with a 15 round draw against Marvelous Marvin Hagler of Brockton, Mass, on Nov 30,1979, in Las Vegas. Vito lost his title to Alan Minter of Great Britain, in Feb 1980, by decision. Vito was a brawler, but he too suffered from thin skin on the eye brows. The weight factor favors Galindez, I see Victor stopping Vito on cuts entering the 7th round, as Antuofermo is staggered, but refuses to go down.

antuofermo was better than many give him credit for, but galindez was better again. victor by decision or cut eye stoppage.
