Tyson could have beat lewis?

When that fight took place I don't think Tyson could have beaten Lewis. When Tyson was trained by Kevin Rooney who was a top rate trainer yes. Lewis lost to Oliver Mccall & Hasim Rahman on one punch & Tyson was the king of the one punch KO. Had extreme power & more speed then both of those fighters. He also had outstanding head movement when he was young & made it difficult for bigger fighters to just stand there & land there jabs. He also had an outstanding chin & stamina. A young Mike Tyson would have probably KO'd Lewis but the one we saw in 2002 wasn't the Mike Tyson we all knew & loved & couldn't wait to see.

it happens all the time in boxing tyson himself beat up an old larry holmes ,holmes beat an ageing Ali and Ali beat an old archie moore the young pup beats the older fighter.

as for the fight Tyson was a shell of his former self and was only there for the pay cheque ,if it had happened when tyson was 21 and lewis 30 it would of been a toss up fight either tyson early or lewis late

Then take it up with Tyson's camp for agreeing to the fight, not throwing in the towel, or not having Tyson properly prepared.

Lennox Lewis climbed into that ring under the assumption that he was going up against another professional boxer. It isn't up to him to decide whether Tyson is in a fit state to fight or not.

Tyson never weighed as low as 210 almost in his entire professional career and definitely never in any championship fight!

tyson still packed a great punch in the 2000's sadly he was very overweight for the fight and suffred stamina issues, he took all lennox lewis best punches and still took him 8rds, if tyson was 210 at least he would have been fast ,Have to say; you don't associate boxing with shame, this fight; is a shame;? to boxing and a shame on Lewis; how could he take credit for hurting a helpless man,the performance he put on after the fight is nauseating, because that is exactley what Tyson was in this fight a "helpless man", only shows to what lengths; a man; will go for a couple of dollar's; one discriptive word for this fight: "Disgusting" to all who were associated with it (How the mighty have fallen)
