Its impossible to compare boxers from such different time eras. For instance Amir can learn from Sugars career but it does not work the other way round. Taken that into account though you cannot compare the two. Sugar was world champion before you could have 5 different ones or more in each wieght. Amir has never been the undisputed world champion. In his divisions you have Paciou and Mayweather to name 2 who are much better than him. Muhamed Ali who a lot of people consider to be the best of all time modelled himself on Sugar and wanted to be the heavyweight Sugar Ray. He was also arguably the first modern fighter and was a lot bigger than Amir.
Amir kahn ? The glass jaw guy? The britsh victor ortiz? The overrated no give a dam boxer? Against the greatest of all? The best boxer overall? The idol of so many boxers?... Amir kahn would be a waste of his time hell not even a sparring match would warm up sugar ray robinson
