Struggling to Plan Party?

Any of these ideas would work. I suggest you think through who you are inviting (kids, parents, friends, relatives, etc.), how many you want to host, and why you are having the party. This will help you determine what would work. An open house works very well, but an ice party of a smaller group could be fun. Again, what do you want to happen at this party? If is truly just to celebrate graduation?

One thing to keep in mind is that there are often competing parties right around graduation. Your classmates may have multiple parties to attend that day.

The ice cream parlor would be the treat..just bring on the cake, and punch bowl set. A table set up with your diploma, a feather pen, registry, and decorated card box. Doubtfully you will have more than 75 at one time, people come and go so much at these things, and at this time of year. Its best not to put much expense as you can to it, because the idea is to make as much of it as you can for starting out on your own..

We are planning a college graduation party for next year. We are a little torn in which direction we should go. An open house is an option, but people would have to walk down stairs to the basement. There is an option of having people upstairs and downstairs but I don't know if that's okay. Another option is an ice cream parlor that has a very nice party room, but only holds 75 people for the party room. The next option is the church basement. It has an elevator and has a very big basement.

The food is another problem. We are between doing a salad bar, with soups and sandwiches, taco bar, brunch, BBQ, or hamburger and hotdogs. It's important that it looks nice, personal, but also fun. Does anyone have any suggestions from these options that I have listed?
