Food & beverage ideas:
-Tea sandwiches (for adults/teens): Goat cheese with cucumber slices, Cream cheese with cucumber & dill weed, Herb Cheese Spread with Arugula (on white bread with the crusts removed).
-Tea sandwhiches (for kids & teens): Cream cheese with ham, turkey or cheese and Peanut Butter & Jelly (on white bread with the crusts removed). Note: Make sure none of your guests are allergic to peanuts.
-Vegetable & Potato Chips
-Handheld Ceasar Salad: Make a regular Ceasar Salad but chop the lettuce up it rather finely. Just before serving it, place it on whole (washed & dried) romaine lettuce leaves. They can be eaten like a slice of pizza or slightly folded like a taco.
-Caprese Salad Skewers: Arrange a cherry/grape tomatoes, a cubes of mozzarella and a few fresh basil leaves on bamboo skewers. Just before serving, drizzle with a balsamic vinegarette.
Beverages: Citrus Spritzer (citrus fruits-lemon, lime, orange slices mixed with sparkling water), basil/cucumber water (place fresh basil leaves & thin cucumber slices in a pitcher and top off with ice cold water), lemonade, coffee/tea.
Activities: Croquette, Carry the potato or egg on the spoon, "Hot Potato", Musical chairs, hire a musician or magician.
Have the folks frolic around blind folded to see who picks the largest strawberry. Or perhaps you can all pretend you are giants stomping about in the garden and the ants are people, and the tomato plants are redwood trees. Or you can just sit around and sip tea and talk about current events
