You can build up your skills and balance on the street for going faster and control of the board without the risk of falling in front of a car.
You can use the road to build up speed and then turn into your driveway to practice the kickflips and ramp work.
Sounds like you enjoy the sport. Do it but modify what you do to keep it safe. You can't do it anymore if a car hits you.
You have answered your own question. Just do it if you enjoy it and find a spot. I built a ramp many years ago on the cheap with a friend
I lived up north where it snowed for much of the year and had fun practicing flat ground in my garage. If you really like it you will find a way to stick with it.
Yes
I i used to skate but stopped for a couple months. I wanna get back into it again but the problem is, I live in south Carolina. I live in a neighborhood with no sidewalks, just road. I also have a drive way ( of course ) and they recently paved road up the hill. When I learn how to kickflip and other tricks will it be fun even with barely no spots to gap? I have a tiny tiny TINY ramp as well and a place to grind. Is it worth skating again? Also there are no skateparks near me.
