Should Mayweather's opponents stop looking at tapes?

I am not a big believer in watching film on a fighter and when it come Mayweather it is point less. You need to have you plan together and get in there and take it away from him. He is beatable and when someone does everyone will wonder why it took so long.

It's not pointless to study any opponent. I think the problem is...guys look at the Castillo fight which was long ago...the Oscar fight, and Oscar had serious size and power advantage... or now the Cotto fight, in which Floyd chose not to use his legs and think they see how to beat him. You have to study his entire body of work and have a plan A, B, and C for which Floyd Mayweather you are fighting on a particular night or round even. He is so versatile that he can be a different fight on different nights. He also learns, grows and adapts to each opponents. Opponents never seem ready for all he does. They instead focus on one thing and because of that...44 have tried and 44 have failed.

Studying him is pointless......ummm that's how you solve a problem. You sound like Floyd Mayweather isn't beatable, why is that? Does Floyd look like a superhero to you?

Anyone is beatable as long as you have a perfect game plan and you stick with it, you also have to have a back plan just in case things go wrong. But 90% of the time, sticking with your game plan works.

Floyd is beatable? If you think its the other way around, then why do you think he ducked Pacquiao, Margarito [Floyd ducked him and went on to fight Baldomir, a guy with 10 looses], a rematch with Oscar [which should have happened], or Martinez [who was willing to drop down to 150] or Canelo.

Nobody is invincible, they look like invincible because they don't want to put their skills to the test against elite fighters.

I think its normal to look at tapes and study your opponent...However, the main issue is how your going to throw your punches against mayweather? If you dont throw punches and wait just like what guerrero did, then he cant beat floyd not in 100 years...Same with marquez, however ortiz and cotto compete...Because they're not gunshy, they throw punches from different angles and hit floyd...

I think margarito is a perfect opponent of floyd...Not gunshy and very aggressive...Thats why he avoide marg few years ago...

Mayweather talks big sht but won't get in the ring with boxing legends....

His opponents are always looking at tapes from previous fights, trying to figure out a way to beat him. However, those fights happened in the past with completely different fighters. Mayweather is also able to adjust to any style in the ring.

People keep pointing out his fight with Castillo. Mayweather had an injured shoulder, which he had surgery on after that fight. Castillo was basically fighting a one armed Mayweather so why study tapes of a one armed fight when Mayweather will have both. Many have said pressure Mayweather, hit his body and yet he is still undefeated.

How he fights depends entirely on how his opponent fights, that's the genius in his style. He doesn't have to watch tapes because he can make any adjustment. against Cotto he continually made adjustments as Cotto made adjustments. He nearly stopped Cotto after he made an adjustment with his uppercut.

Studying him is pointless
