i can see what you are saying.. boxing at least at his level is a full time job, you must e 100 percent focused. however he cared dearly about his people and also needs to keep busy with the later years of his life. so getting into the politics is probably a good idea IN THE LONG RUN.. as for the right now his boxing career is suffering and weave been seeing that as of lately ( and also because he is getting older). i think many needs to retire from boxing he issent focused no more and that's ok he cant fight forever and needs something else to keep busy... huge manny fan here glad i got too see him compete as long as i did..war pacman!
I think he should retire from boxing and concentrate on politics. He has done more than enough for his country in boxing while he still has to demonstrate that he can make a big difference in Philippine national and local politics.
With his strong influence with both the young and old Filipino electorates, Manny can really make a difference by concentrating on his Congressional duties while advocating and pushing for legislations to boost education, job generation and health care for the poor.
The urge to continue boxing is now driven more by his desire to redeem his personal pride tainted somewhat by his losses to Bradley and Marquez, It's more about his pride and more money for Arum and his hangers-on.
well, his focus is not on boxing anymore...lets just say about 35% only...he is a politician, part time actor(oh no!), a pastor(damn it is true), and a businessman (a LOT of business).
For me the best thing he should do is focus more in his business(he is a damn billionaire in the Phil). Politics in the Phil is dirty and that is already proven. I dont know if he can come back in boxing. 10 years of dominance is enough...his record and awards in boxing are so astonishing that he can now seat with the Gods. LOL
Politics in the Philippines SUCK BIG TIME!
One thing is for sure, if he focus atleast 90% he will be successful... that is the real manny pacquiao.
no he shouldn't. he needs to find a career after boxing so he's doing the right thing. if he were to try and find another career after retiring from boxing, he would be idle for a certain period of time. now if he retires, he'll have a career waiting for him to turn to. with regards to being distracted by politics, i don't think he is. i just think he is ageing... he isn't as accurate as he was
Truthfully, if he can't even handle his own decisions regarding his own boxing career and has to still rely on guys like Arum & Koncz, then how is he even deciding on laws on a country? LOL, unless Bob Arum is running the Phillippines.
I don't he should retire from politics, boxing maybe. He has been an icon in the Philippines for almost a decade and most people will support him with all his plans in politics.
cant answer that, everybody needs a fallback...
what he needs is to set aside politics, shobiz, his wife and kids, his mother, his gospel brethrens, his gold diggin friends etc.....everytime he's in trainingcamp for a fight
he will be needing a lot of focus and concentration if ever his desire to come back on top is true...
i think manny pacquiao should fight floyd mayweather and then retire.
If your going to give your vote to manny pacquiao, your crazy...LOL...
I've noticed he hasn't really been the same ever since he started trying to juggle politics and boxing, i think he should temporarily retire from politics to finish out his boxing career and finish it strong and with wins, like beating marquez if they fight again and making a run at the championship which he never should have lost
